What happened at Ephesus in the Bible?

Paul's longest stay, about three years, and from this one city the gospel reached a whole province: "all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks" (Acts 19:10). The trade in Diana's silver shrines felt the loss, and the city rioted, which is how you know the word had landed.
