What happened at Antioch in the Bible?

The believers' first base outside Jerusalem, and the place the name itself was born: "the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch" (Acts 11:26). From this church Paul and Barnabas were sent out on their journeys, and to it they returned to report what God had done.
