What you hold
One square for every card. Each fills as you learn it and fades as you forget, on your own curve.
The next two weeks
Your forecast appears after your first review.
How this works
The Ladder
Every verse climbs five rungs. Read it, aloud if you can. Fade it, one word at a time, until the page is nearly empty. Hold it by first letters alone. Type it, word by word. Then say it blind, with nothing on the screen, and your typing grades the recall. Every verse is the King James Version: the memory verses from the studies, week by week, and any passage of up to ten verses you add yourself.
The engine
Reviews are scheduled by FSRS, the open-source Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler. It keeps two numbers for every card, how stable the memory is and how hard the card is for you, and brings the card back when your chance of recalling it is predicted to fall to nine in ten. Remember it well and the gap grows. Forget it and it comes back soon.
The books
The sixty-six books are learned by the memory palace method, one of the oldest memory techniques there is: set what you want to keep along a route you already know. Here the route is your own body, nine stations from your toes to the crown of your head, with the books chained into one story along it.
Doctrine
The Seven Threads, the ten positions, the gospel and assurance, the five non-negotiables, the questions on each doctrine and the weekly maxims, all in this Bible's own words. Every card asks first and answers second, and links to the page it comes from.
What it measures
The squares on the Today page are your own forgetting curves. A card is strong when the engine expects you to recall it at nine in ten or better, holding above seven in ten, and fading below that. Nothing is ever marked mastered for good, because memory does not work that way.
