What is the dispensation of Innocence?
The first dispensation, in Eden before the fall (Gen 1-3). Man was placed in a perfect garden under one prohibition, tested, and failed by eating the forbidden fruit; the judgment was the curse and expulsion.
What the text states
The stewardship: keep the garden and do not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Gen 2:15-17). The test: a single command in a sinless environment. The failure: Adam and Eve ate (Gen 3:6). The judgment: the ground cursed, pain, death, and expulsion from Eden (Gen 3:16-24). Even here grace appears: the first promise of the Redeemer, "her seed" who bruises the serpent (Gen 3:15), and coats of skins, the first death to cover sin.
