| Human condition | Total inabilityThe fallen cannot respond at all. | Total depravityTruly fallen, yet able to receive or reject the gospel (Acts 7:51). | Ability via prevenient graceGrace restores a freed will to all. |
| Election | Unconditional, individualGod decrees who is saved, apart from faith. | Corporate, in ChristGod chose a people in Him (en autō, Eph 1:4); you enter by faith. | Foreseen faithGod elects those He foresees will believe. |
| Atonement | LimitedChrist died only for the elect. | UnlimitedChrist died for the whole world (1 John 2:2); sufficient for all, applied to those who believe. | UniversalChrist died for all without exception. |
| Grace | IrresistibleThe called cannot refuse. | ResistibleGrace genuinely draws and enables, but can be refused (Matt 23:37). | CooperativeGrace enables; the will cooperates. |
| Security | Perseverance of the saintsThe truly elect necessarily persevere; works prove it. | Eternal securitySealed in Christ at faith (Eph 1:13); kept by God, not by performance. | ConditionalSalvation can be forfeited by falling away. |
God genuinely desires all to be saved, the atonement is for the whole world, and grace can be resisted. The offer is real to whosoever will.
A genuine believer cannot lose salvation. Security rests on God's seal in Christ, not on the believer's ability to hold on.
