The Smoking Furnace & Burning Lamp
genesis 15:12, 17-18
the anchor of Thread 6 — Hidden in Him, Revealed with Him
When the sun went down and it was dark, "behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram" (Genesis 15:17-18). A deep sleep had fallen upon Abram (15:12); God alone passes between the pieces, binding himself to the covenant. This smoking furnace is the anchor of Thread 6 — the life hidden in Him.
