Faith in suffering, a missionary's testimony

Darlene Deibler Rose

Darlene Deibler Rose served as a missionary in New Guinea with her husband, Russell Deibler. During the Second World War she spent four years in a camp for women at Kampili, and Russell died at Pare Pare in 1944.

After the war she married Jerry Rose and went back to missionary work in New Guinea. Her memoir, Evidence Not Seen, takes its title from Hebrews 11:1.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
HEBREWS 11:1 · KJVThe verse her memoir is named from.
