Is the Bible the Word of God? Is the Bible reliable?
Yes. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God" (2 Tim 3:16), "holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost" (2 Pet 1:21). Confirmed by fulfilled prophecy, manuscripts, and external witnesses like Josephus.
What the text states
The Bible claims inspiration, God-breathed through men (2 Tim 3:16, 2 Pet 1:21), and backs it: prophecy written centuries ahead and fulfilled (Isa 53, Ps 22, Micah 5:2), a manuscript record fuller than any ancient work, and external corroboration, Josephus records Pilate, Caiaphas, John the Baptist, James, and Jerusalem's fall as Scripture frames them. Not merely a book about God; God's own word, one story from Genesis to Revelation.
Skeptics treat it as human religious literature. We hold, on its claim and the evidence, that it is the inspired, reliable Word of God.

Checked 2026-09-29 by Darren. 50 Scripture citations verified against the KJV rows. Wave 4. 50 quoted fragments table-passed against the verses table, splitting every quotation at its ellipsis. 49 pass. ONE CORRECTION: the file quoted "Dead in sins" (Eph 2:1); the KJV reads "dead in trespasses and sins", and the quotation was corrected to the table. One exhibit does not resolve and ships omitted rather than guessed: what-does-dead-in-sin-mean listed 'is-faith-a-work', which is not a slug on this site (the nearest is is-believing-a-work); flagged for Darren.
