Let’s turn to 2 Thessalonians, chapter two.
Paul said, Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, Now that is a reference to the rapture of the church, the coming again of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together unto Him.
In the first epistle to the Thessalonians in chapter four, Paul wrote to them about the rapture of the church. How that we who are alive and remain shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and shall forever be with the Lord. And so he is writing now concerning this coming again of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together unto Him.
