Religion makes it complicated; a ritual makes it cheap. It is neither. The good news is a Person, crucified and risen for you, received by faith.

What the gospel is

The Problem

You have sinned, and sin separates you from a holy God. Its wage is death.

The Provision

Christ, the Son of God, died for your sins and rose again — for the whole world, not a chosen few.

The Response

Turn from every other hope and trust in Christ alone. Faith is the empty hand that receives the gift.

The Result

Eternal life, given freely and sealed forever in Him — not earned, never lost.

What the gospel is not

  • A prayer you recite
  • Inviting Jesus into your heart
  • Walking an aisle or a public profession
  • A pledge or commitment you make to God
  • Giving or doing something for God
  • Cleaning up your life first
  • Surrendering every area as the price of entry
A word on repentance

Repentance is the change of mind that turns to Christ — it is part of believing, not a separate work added to faith. It is not cleaning yourself up first: a changed life is the fruit that follows faith, never the price of entry.

In a sentence: Christ died for your sins and rose again. Trust Him, and eternal life is yours as a gift.
