If Christ Has Not Been Raised
1 Corinthians 15 is Paul's most sustained argument for the bodily resurrection, and his most explicit statement of what is at stake if it did not happen. If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. Paul does not cushion this. The resurrection is not a detail of the faith: it is the hinge on which Thread 3 turns. The story that was moving toward a King needed a King who conquered death, not merely taught about it. Thread 3 arrives at the resurrection, passes through it, and continues to the return.
