What was the route of Paul's third missionary journey?

SHORT ANSWER

Paul's third journey (Acts 18:23 to 21:17) went again through Galatia and Phrygia to Ephesus, where he stayed some three years, then through Macedonia and Greece and back by sea, Troas, Miletus, Tyre, and Caesarea, to Jerusalem. "Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus" (Acts 19:1).

What the text states

Paul set out again through "the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples" (Acts 18:23), and came to Ephesus (19:1), where he labored longest. He then went into Macedonia and Greece (20:2), sailed from Philippi back to Troas (20:6), and down the coast by Assos, Mitylene, Chios, Samos, and Miletus (20:15). From there the voyage ran to Coos, Rhodes, and Patara (21:1), Tyre (21:3), Ptolemais (21:7), and Caesarea (21:8), ending at Jerusalem, where "the brethren received us gladly" (21:17). Acts 18:23 to 21:17.
