How do I know God's will for my life?
God's revealed will is mostly already stated: love Him, obey His word, be sanctified (1 Thess 4:3), give thanks (5:18). For specific decisions, walk in the revealed will, ask for wisdom (Jas 1:5), and trust God to direct a surrendered life (Prov 3:5-6).
What the text states
Scripture states God's will plainly: "this is the will of God, even your sanctification" (1 Thess 4:3), "in every thing give thanks" (5:18). Most of knowing it is doing the revealed part. For decisions Scripture doesn't spell out, God gives wisdom to those who ask (Jas 1:5), works through counsel and circumstances, and directs the surrendered heart: "in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" (Prov 3:6).

Wave 4. 50 quoted fragments table-passed against the verses table, splitting every quotation at its ellipsis. 49 pass. ONE CORRECTION: the file quoted "Dead in sins" (Eph 2:1); the KJV reads "dead in trespasses and sins", and the quotation was corrected to the table. One exhibit does not resolve and ships omitted rather than guessed: what-does-dead-in-sin-mean listed 'is-faith-a-work', which is not a slug on this site (the nearest is is-believing-a-work); flagged for Darren.
