Do pets go to heaven? Do animals have souls?
The Bible does not say directly, so we hold it humbly. Animals are living creatures God made and called good, there are animals in the coming kingdom (Isa 11:6) and horses in heaven (Rev 19:11), but Scripture never promises the salvation of individual pets; salvation is for man, made in God's image.
What the text states
Animals have nephesh, life, but not the image of God, and redemption is for people and, corporately, a groaning creation (Rom 8:21). We are not told our specific pets are raised. God cares for His creatures ("not one of them is forgotten before God," Luke 12:6), the restored earth has animal life (Isa 11), and the God who is good can be trusted with what He has not spelled out. Beyond that, honesty says we do not know.
Some teach pets are in heaven, others that animals cease. We hold the humble middle: Scripture doesn't promise it, doesn't deny it, shows animals in the kingdom, so we trust God and don't overclaim.
