What does the Bible say about anxiety and worry?
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer... let your requests be made known unto God" (Phil 4:6). The cure is not to suppress anxiety but to hand it to God, "casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you" (1 Pet 5:7).
What the text states
Jesus addressed worry: "which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?" (Matt 6:27), pointing to the Father who feeds the birds. Paul gives the exchange: give the anxiety to God in prayer, and "the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts" (Phil 4:7). Not a denial that anxiety is real or that some need a doctor's help, but the steady counsel: a caring Father, prayer, thanksgiving, a peace that guards the heart.

Wave 4. 50 quoted fragments table-passed against the verses table, splitting every quotation at its ellipsis. 49 pass. ONE CORRECTION: the file quoted "Dead in sins" (Eph 2:1); the KJV reads "dead in trespasses and sins", and the quotation was corrected to the table. One exhibit does not resolve and ships omitted rather than guessed: what-does-dead-in-sin-mean listed 'is-faith-a-work', which is not a slug on this site (the nearest is is-believing-a-work); flagged for Darren.
